The Las Ventas bullring was built in 1929 on the land known as Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo, from which it takes its name. It is the largest bullfighting arena in Spain , with a total surface area of 45,800 square meters and a capacity of 23,797. The Las Ventas bullring was declared a Historic-Artistic Heritage Site in 1994. The most important event hosted at the Las Ventas bullring is undoubtedly the San Isidro Fair , one of the events that have established it as the best bullfighting arena in the world.

The Madrid Bullfighting Museum is located in the Patio de Caballos, an emblematic section of the building, and houses a collection that offers a clear and harmonious overview of the history of bullfighting in Spain . The works on display include engravings by Goya depicting bullfights, portraits of 20th-century bullfighters, a section entirely dedicated to Manolete, and a large collection of testimonies from Las Ventas.

The Las Ventas tour now includes virtual reality features, such as 360º views of the San Isidro Fair, located next to the Las Ventas souvenir shop, and a virtual bullfighting game located between points 3 and 4 of the tour, on the upper floor. Don't miss them and enjoy a unique experience!
