As one of central London's royal residences, Kensington Palace has been the home and refuge of the royal family since the 17th century. William III and Mary II were jointly crowned in 1689 and were instrumental in the transformation of Nottingham House into Kensington Palaces.
This magnificent Tudor mansion looks like it came from the pages of a storybook. Hampton Court was Henry VIII's favorite royal haunt, and was lavishly decorated by two luxury-loving kings, so you can expect priceless paintings, fine tapestries and gold everywhere.
