Plaza Mayor is the heart of Hapsburg Madrid. The Arco dei Cuchillero s, the Casa della Panadería and the Statue of Felipe III mark the charm of this square.
The Puerta de Alcalá is one of the five ancient royal gates that gave access to Madrid. Its neoclassical, three-arched appearance is reminiscent of Roman triumphal arches.
The Museo Nacional del Prado is an international reference museum for European painting. Goya, Velázquez, El Greco, Rubens, Titian, Rembrandt and Caravaggio, among others, are part of the museum's collection.
