Palazzo Ducale presents the largest exhibition in the last 25 years dedicated to one of the most iconic artists in the history of international art and among the most beloved by the general public, Anton van Dyck.

A " genius ," indeed, capable of transcending the centuries and embracing the tastes, in content and pictorial technique, of diverse social contexts and many historical eras. Van Dyck was an artist who succeeded in systematizing a series of solutions and sensibilities drawn from various circles and, at the same time, translating them into innovative formulas.

The exhibition thus aims to be a journey of discovery of the Van Dyck of "three homelands" and " three distinct seasons ," leading the visitor not along a strictly chronological path, but through thematic approaches that more clearly demonstrate how his art was able to adapt and mature. But above all, to win over everyone's taste and favor, then as now.
