Over 265 years ago, something happened that changed Lisbon forever. In 1755, a devastating earthquake shook the city and destroyed almost all the buildings. As if that wasn't enough, shortly afterwards a tsunami swept away everything that was left after the tragedy. The Lisbon Earthquake Museum is an invitation to discover the city lost in one of the most terrible earthquakes of modern times. In this immersive experience, you will walk the streets of 1755 Lisbon until the day everything changed. Quake is a journey to revisit the wonders and horrors of that era and witness the drama that unfolded before your eyes. Thanks to a scientific and historical perspective, you will learn about seismic activity, its effects in Lisbon and also the social leaders and criminals who played a vital role during Lisbon's recovery. You'll also experience the earthquake in the Quake Simulator, a room built with the latest technology to provide a shaky but safe experience.

What is there to know?

* Not recommended for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility and heart problems.
* When you arrive at Quake, you must go to the reception to register and receive RFID (Radio-frequency identification) bracelets, small technological devices to wear on the wrist, which will accompany you throughout the experience.
* The minimum age is 6 years. Children between the ages of 4 and 5 can visit the experience for free, but cannot enter the simulator platform.
