DALLARA ACADEMY + HOTEL

The Dallara Academy is an educational and exhibition center located within a bold, modern structure, designed to share and convey—according to the vision of founder Giampaolo Dallara—the wealth of expertise developed over 50 years of activity and to introduce visitors to Dallara's history and cars.
Inaugurated on September 21, 2018 in Varano de' Melegari (province of Parma), the Academy covers a total area of approximately 5,500 m² .

The Dallara Academy , designed by engineer Giampaolo Dallara, extends across two floors connected by a large, walkable glass helical ramp. The ground floor features spaces dedicated to welcoming the public and laboratories for schools , while the first floor houses the MUNER university training area and a 350-seat auditorium used for conferences and events. The building's unique design is conceived as a "harmonious ensemble of mechanical parts," where each component performs a specific function. The central idea is to share the company's expertise with the outside world: this concept is embodied in the originality of the building itself, defined by a curved wall with a glass cut on the horizon and three cones housing the distribution elements and university classrooms, all in an atmosphere that embraces the landscape of the Val Ceno.

The design and construction of the Dallara Academy were entrusted to Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, winners of a private, invitation-only competition to identify the architecture that best translated the client's vision into reality. The architecture won the award for best building under construction at the ABB Leaf Awards in September 2017, a competition held for 16 years and honoring landmark projects shaping the future of the industry.

A visit to the Dallara Academy allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of motorsports , discover the details of the cars that have marked the company's history, and understand the importance of passion and training in the world of racing. The exhibition ramp houses cars that have shaped the history of Engineer Dallara and subsequently of Dallara Automobili: from the Miura to the X19, from the IndyCars racing in the United States to the Le Mans prototypes, through series such as Formula 3 and Formula E , up to the latest addition, the " Dallara Stradale ." Visitors will be able to explore a history of innovation and technology, observing high-performance racing and road cars up close, while maintaining a connection with the surrounding environment, thanks to the large glass wall that follows the entire curve of the ramp. This area connects the two floors of the Dallara Academy and is always open to visitors, whether individuals or groups.
