Stonehenge: partenza dal centro di Londra + Hotel
Why you should buy your ticket on Pass4Fun.
Highlights
Visit Stonehenge, one of the most famous and mysterious sites in the United Kingdom .
Departing central London aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned luxury coach, you'll reach Salisbury Plain, where the imposing stones of this extraordinary prehistoric monument have stood for nearly 5,000 years . You can choose between a morning or afternoon departure. Once you arrive, a shuttle will take you directly to the site.
During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to admire the majestic stone circle and delve into the many theories surrounding this fascinating place . Was Stonehenge a temple dedicated to sun worship? A healing sanctuary? A sacred burial site? Or something entirely different?
Whatever the answer, the ingenuity of its builders remains extraordinary. With extremely simple tools, they managed to shape the enormous stones and create sophisticated interlocking systems between pillars and lintels. Using deer antlers and bones, they dug the pits needed to position the megaliths and created the embankments and ditches that delimited the complex. Walking around the monument, you can try to imagine how and why these stones were placed here.
To complete your experience, visit the modern Stonehenge Visitor Centre . It displays approximately 250 archaeological finds from the surrounding area, including jewelry, pottery, and prehistoric tools. You'll also find a large gift shop and a café.
