What is meant by "The Beam"
The Beam experience is a new attraction at Top of the Rock, New York City's famous observation deck. It consists of a raised section—a metal beam—on which visitors can sit or stand for a few seconds, recreating the famous 1932 black-and-white photograph of workers sitting on a beam suspended above the New York skyline.

It is very scenic because it directly evokes the famous shot “Lunch atop a Skyscraper”
Please note: With the “Top of the Rock + Beam” combo ticket you will take home a truly iconic souvenir photo.
Additional important information:
- In case of bad weather or poor visibility on the day of your visit, the facility will reissue your ticket for a later time or date.
- Be prepared for the wind: it can get very cold at 250 meters above sea level, so dress appropriately.
- This is your e-ticket: go to the entrance (on the red carpet) at the time indicated in your reservation.
- Entry is not permitted before the scheduled time: we ask you not to queue early.
- Children under 6 enter free and do not require a ticket.
