From March 2022, the Amsterdam Museum will be located on the Amstel in the Hermitage building. With a completely new range of exhibitions, public programmes and children's activities. Here, the Amsterdam Museum will exhibit a completely new collection that showcases the traditional and marginal history of Amsterdam. In the permanent chronological presentation: Panorama Amsterdam, well-known and unknown stories and perspectives on Amsterdam's past give an insight into how Amsterdam was formed and is still developing. The current temporary exhibitions give the floor to residents and lovers of the city to show "their Amsterdam".

* Companions of wheelchair users enter free of charge
* Lockers available with a deposit of a €1 or €2 coin
* You cannot access the museum with a scooter or electric wheelchair.
However, you can borrow wheelchairs and folding chairs in the facility.
* Suitcases and travel bags are not allowed inside. Backpacks and umbrellas can be stored in the cloakroom or in a locker at the entrance
* No animals are allowed inside, with the exception of guide dogs.
