To board the ferry, you will need a photo ID.
Passport photos are not required for all members of your group, only for those who have purchased tickets.
* No bags larger than a standard backpack (16" x 20") are permitted on Alcatraz Island. Backpacks and oversized luggage are not permitted. There are no exceptions. There are no luggage storage lockers at Pier 33.
* Minors under 18 cannot be without an adult.
* The profile of Alcatraz Island is rugged and steep. The distance between the pier and Alcatraz Prison is about 4 km and the difference in altitude is 40 meters.
* The SEAT (Sustainable Easy Access Transport) service is available for people with mobility difficulties.
* Food consumption is permitted only in picnic areas.
* Assistance dogs are allowed. Pets or companion animals are not allowed.
