Description

Meet your guide in one of Barcelona's most famous areas, Paseo de Gracia. We are in the Eixample area of Barcelona, which is the urban planning project of the architect Ildefons Cerdá to extend the habitable area of the city outside the medieval walls, demolished in the second half of the 19th century.

Paseo de Gracia is one of Barcelona's main streets where, in addition to prestigious brand-name shops, we can find modernist buildings. This fact is due to the fact that at the beginning of the 19th century Paseo de Gracia was consolidated as the main bourgeois residential centre, the main clients of renowned modernist architects such as: Gaudí, Puig i Cadafalch, Domènech i Montaner or Sagnier. During this tour we will have the opportunity to see two wonderful examples of domestic architecture by the architect Antoni Gaudí, always in the context of the events of the time and in parallel with the work of other prestigious contemporary architects.

At the end of the visit, the guide will give you tickets to visit La Pedrera, Casa Batlló or both on your own, depending on the option you have chosen.
