Description
Space Shuttle Atlantis
Here she is. Just an arm's length away, NASA's most incredible engineering feat to date: a vehicle that launched like a rocket, flew into orbit like a spacecraft, and landed on a runway like a glider.
Shuttle Launch Experience is an incredible vertical launch journey into space and orbit the Earth aboard the Space Shuttle. Guest “crew members” participate in this all-too-real simulation, which immerses visitors in the sights, sounds and sensations of a Space Shuttle launch, designed under the guidance of NASA and veteran Space Shuttle astronauts.
Located a short bus ride away (included in the price of admission), the Apollo/Saturn V Center is home to a 111-meter moon rocket! Don't miss the Firing Room Theatre, which recreates the Apollo launch, and the Lunar Theatre, which depicts the first moon landing. Get up close to the real Apollo 14 command module, “Kitty Hawk.” Explore a rare collection of spacesuit prototypes and artifacts used during the Apollo program.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is home to the world's only twin IMAX® theaters, screening two thrilling large-format films on screens 5 1/2 stories high: “Hubble 3D” Float alongside the spacewalk, astronauts, and experience the powerful history of the Hubble Space Telescope and its profound impact on the way we see the universe and ourselves.
“Journey To Space” celebrates the Space Shuttle program, the International Space Station and their vital contributions to the technical and human knowledge that will enable our species to travel deeper into space, to asteroids, Mars and beyond.
Eye on the Universe: The Hubble Space Telescope: A collection of powerful, vibrant images from Hubble that showcase the science of discovering deep space.
