Description

Take some time away from San Francisco with a half-day trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito.
Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and the rugged coastal mountains of Marin County. Discover magnificent views of San Francisco Bay and the valleys where the Coastal Miwok once lived. Our first stop is Muir Woods National Monument, where ancient groves of giant sequoias (Sequoia Sempervirens) tower over Redwood Creek. Our tour allows you to spend more time in Muir Woods than the amount of time offered by any tour company! Entrance fee to Muir Woods is included.
Next, visit the beautiful coastal city of Sausalito, a stunning Mediterranean-style village with quaint shops, art galleries, and waterfront restaurants.
Returning to San Francisco at Pier 39, embark on a 60-minute bay cruise past Pier 39's famous sea lions and along San Francisco's historic waterfront, revealing the city's fascinating skyline. After sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge, you will tour Alcatraz Island and see every corner of this infamous prison island. Other attractions include Angel Island, Western Ellis Island and the magnificent San Francisco skyline. This comfortable tour of the bay features both indoor and outdoor seating with full narration describing major landmarks as you sail past them. Keep an eye on the water. You might catch a glimpse of porpoises swimming nearby. They're back in the Bay!
7.40am: Depart from Post Street pickup location
8:00 AM: Depart Leavenworth pickup location
08:00 - 09:30: Head to Muir Woods National Monument via the Golden Gate Bridge. We will stop at the Golden Gate Vista Point so you can appreciate the stunning Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and the San Francisco skyline and take some amazing photos.
9:30am - 11:30am: Enjoy an hour and a half among the giant redwoods and bring out the photographer that lives inside you. You will have time to explore trails and bridges, listen to the sound of water, and breathe in the fresh air provided by the tall, ancient trees.
11:40am - 12:40pm: Take your time to explore Sausalito, the cutest village in the Bay Area. Stroll along the boutiques, restaurants and cafes and enjoy views of the San Francisco skyline from the waterfront.
12.40pm: Time to return to San Francisco and conclude your tour at your pickup location.
We'll drop you off near Pier 39, where the Bay Cruise adventure begins.
