Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city you will discover how the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD destroyed the city, killing its inhabitants and burying it under tons of ash. The site was lost for approximately 1,500 years until its initial rediscovery, and the objects beneath the city have been well preserved for centuries. You can then walk along the ancient streets to take a look at Roman life, discovering ancient houses, bakeries and shops and imagining daily life in Roman times. The tour ends after approximately 2.5 hours at the meeting point.
