Description

Giverny, a quaint Normandy village, attracted many Impressionist painters in the 19th century, who followed the lead of the movement's founder, Claude Monet, who lived there for 43 years. You will visit the Master's house in complete freedom with your audio guide, where the spectacular colors and the enchanting garden have been conceived as a work of art. You will be dazzled by the flower beds and plants, and you will perceive the artist's emotions in front of the famous water lilies and weeping willows of the water garden.

Take advantage of this half-day excursion to discover the Giverny Foundation at your own pace.

The departure is from the center of Paris, where you will be provided with audio guides for the visit. After about an hour and a half drive through green countryside, you will arrive in Giverny. You will then have around 2 hours to discover Monet's house, his studio and his colorful gardens.

Claude Monet lived in this Norman village for more than forty years with his entire family. You will be able to immerse yourself in Monet's daily life by visiting his house, which includes the "petit salon bleu" (little blue living room), which was the reading room, the latter overlooking the "grocer's shop" where tea, oil, spices and eggs were kept , the dining room, which exhibits one of the most important collections of Japanese prints in the world, and its private apartments.

You can continue your visit with a walk in the sumptuous garden of Giverny which was the main source of inspiration for this undisputed master of impressionism. During your walk...
