Your day will begin with an early morning departure from Times Square in Manhattan, where you'll be greeted by your professional bilingual guide. Your first destination will be the United States capital, Washington, D.C. (the journey takes approximately 4–5 hours ), where the tour begins with a visit to the Iwo Jima Memorial , dedicated to the U.S. Marines and inspired by a famous World War II photograph: the raising of the American flag at the Battle of Iwo Jima, Japan.
We continue with the majestic Lincoln Memorial , dedicated to the president who promoted the abolition of slavery in the United States. Washington, DC is the center of the three branches of the American government. During the tour, we will see two of them from the outside: the White House , the residence and office of the president, and the Capitol , the seat of Congress.
The visit to Washington ends with free time for lunch on your own.
The second destination is Philadelphia , Pennsylvania, the first capital of the United States during the Revolutionary War. We then take a bus for about three hours to the historic Old City district .
The first stop will be Independence National Historical Park , where your guide will take a short guided walk. Here you will see the Liberty Bell , a symbol of American independence, and Independence Hall , where the founding documents of the United States were debated and approved: the Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776) and the Constitution.
The tour ends with a stop at the Rocky Steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art , where you can recreate the famous scene from the movie “Rocky” by climbing the steps.
At the end of the day, take a relaxed bus ride back to Times Square, arriving between 8:00 and 8:30 PM.
