Highlights
The Central Park Zoo may not be particularly large (about 2.6 hectares), but it certainly offers a lot of fun. It's no coincidence that it inspired the animated film "Madagascar"! Here you can observe many wild animals up close, including snow leopards, bears, sea lions... A rich wildlife for a concrete jungle like the Big Apple, don't you think? And to access it, all you have to do is get tickets for the Central Park Zoo in New York.
Just off 5th Avenue you will find this small but charming zoo with three different habitats.
In the "Polar Circle" there are four species of penguins (plus some puffins), and a little further on you can watch the sea lions show and admire their acrobatics.
If you want to raise the temperature a bit after the cold, explore the "Tropic Zone", where you will encounter snakes, ruffed lemurs and poisonous toothed frogs.
Finally, the Temperate Territory is home to wonderful creatures native to Asia, such as red pandas and snow monkeys.
